Bulgaria for tourists

  

Today Bulgaria is famous for its touristic resorts and its beautiful landscapes.

The seven Rila lakes for example attract many European tourists.   They are the most visited group of lakes in Bulgaria. Each lake carries a name associated with its most characteristic feature. The highest one is called Salzata ("The Tear") due to its clear waters. The next one in height carries the name Okoto ("The Eye") after its almost perfectly oval form.

The belogradchik rocks situated in the north west are a group of stange shaped stones. They are very famous because they have the shape of  human beings and animals. Each rock has a name : the witch, the lion, tha camel, Adam and Eve... 

 Dqvolskoto gurlo : It is one of the most famous caves in the country. In english it means "the devil's throat", the name comes from the shape of the cave. It sounds a bit scary but it's okey if you are comfortable with walking through tiny dark tunnels. 

But of course the most visited place in Bulgaria is the sea side. Our wonderful touristic resorts attract a lot of English, German and of Russian tourists because they are cheap and the atmosphere is great and very relaxing. You can easily find cheap hotels or stay in a B&B for only 5 Euros per night ! The food is very cheap as well, you can have a pint for only 0.5 Euros!! More over you don't have to stay at the same place the whole holiday, you can travel from one resort to another as the distances are very short and there are a lot of buses.
